Paul J. Hill School of Business Shines at JDC West

The case study approach to learning adapted by the Paul J. Hill School of Business has proven to be highly effective. For the third year in a row, the business school captured top honours at the annual JDC West business competition. The 2014 event was held at the U of R from January 17 -19.  A total of 11 western Canadian universities competed against each other by solving case studies in the following areas: Accounting, Business Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resources, International Business, Managing Information Systems, Marketing, Not-for-Profit and Taxation. Debate and social teams also participated.

The Hill team placed first in Human Resources, and first in Management Information Systems (MIS), second in Business Strategy and Marketing, and third in Entrepreneurship and Debate. The Paul J. Hill School of Business also won “School of the Year” for the first time.
