After an extraordinary 34-year career, Michele LeBlanc is retiring from her role as Senior Manager, Information Systems at Harvard Developments.
Throughout her remarkable tenure with The Hill Companies, Michele earned the well-deserved nickname “Queen of IT” - and for good reason. She has been the backbone of our technology operations, the trusted expert when challenges arise, and a key contributor to everything from system maintenance and cybersecurity to software training and support. If it plugs in, logs on, or needs troubleshooting, chances are Michele has already fixed it.
It’s difficult to describe just how much technology has evolved since Michele’s first day, but she has adapted seamlessly every step of the way. Her education, foresight, and ability to pivot as the digital landscape shifted made her the ideal leader to guide our department through decades of transformation.
Michele’s influence can be seen across every corner of Harvard’s digital infrastructure. And yet, she’s never sought the spotlight. Michele has always preferred to let the results speak for themselves, quietly ensuring our systems run smoothly and efficiently.
As one former colleague put it: “You know those scenes in Marvel movies where Iron Man is surrounded by screens, brilliantly solving problems and saving the world? That’s Michele’s brain.”
Beyond her technical expertise, Michele brought intelligence, humour, and heart to the office every day. Whether serving as Mayor of Pense, sketching blueprints and building from the ground up, or helping shape key initiatives at Harvard, she consistently found ways to improve outcomes for her team, her community, and the company.
We extend our most heartfelt thanks for all that Michele has contributed. Her impact on the company will continue through the systems she helped build and the many people she’s mentored along the way. We wish her all the best in retirement!
