Hiedi Pearson Retires after an Illustrious 25-Year Career with Harvard Developments

After 25 years at Harvard Developments, Hiedi Pearson has made the decision to retire from her position as Vice President, Human Resources.

Hiedi's journey with Harvard Developments began in 1998 when she joined us as an Executive Assistant to the Mo Bundon. Climbing the corporate ladder, she would eventually be named VP of Human Resources in 2018, where her unwavering commitment to excellence and ever-friendly personality allowed her to excel in all facets of the role.

Hiedi has been the driving force behind the company’s vibrant employee culture and engagement, spearheading such initiatives as the Employee Wellness Program, Employee Family Assistance Program, The Hill Companies Scholarship program, employee gatherings, and more. As part of the senior management team, her influence and contributions have been instrumental in the strategic direction and accomplishments of the organization.

Not only this, but Hiedi was also the main driver behind Harvard being named one of the top 100 companies in Saskatchewan two years in a row, placing 22nd in 2018 and 18th in 2018. She was also instrumental in Harvard winning the Regina Chamber Paragon Award for Business of the Year and Environment Excellence.

Outside office hours, Hiedi remains dedicated to helping others through various volunteering efforts. She is a Saskatchewan Association of Human Resource Professionals member and serves on multiple boards, such as the Conexus Art Centre and Ranch Ehlro Society. Her unwavering commitment to supporting and engaging with her community was recognized when she was honoured with the Queen's Jubilee Medal on March 17th.

“I am extremely appreciative to Harvard and my colleagues for providing me with a work experience that I know could never be duplicated,” says Hiedi. “My time at Harvard has provided me with career and leadership opportunities, personal and professional growth experiences, relationships with amazing colleagues, and an ever-lasting engagement with our community. No words can describe how thankful I am to have worked with many talented people in a family-owned organization that continuously pursues opportunities, supports its employees, and gives back to the community.”

We want to express our deepest thanks for everything Hiedi has done for Harvard, its employees, and the wider community. We are forever grateful for her commitment, loyalty, and caring, and we wish her all the best as she steps into this exciting new chapter of retirement.

Hiedi’s last full-time day at Harvard will be July 19th. Hiedi will continue with The Hill Companies as an advisor and project consultant for the foreseeable future.
