Harvard Announces Plans for Eau Claire
Harvard Developments Inc. announced plans for the redevelopment of Eau Claire (Calgary, AB) on November 15, 2013. The fully integrated mixed-use project will be comprised of 2.5 million square feet, housing five towers, 1,000 residential units, 800,000 square feet of office space and 550,000 square feet of retail. Harvard has been working alongside the City of Calgary and various community groups to establish the final design and is completing the land-use application that will be submitted by the end of the year or early 2014.

The first of three phases of construction will commence in fall 2014 and the entire project is expected to be completed in 7-10 years. The first phase of construction will take place in the southwest portion of the south parking lot and will include retail, alongside a hotel that will potentially contain high-rise condominiums and rental apartments.

Eau Claire will continue to operate as a fully functional shopping centre until phase three construction begins. To view the shopping centre’s website please visit eauclairemarket.com
