Members from Harvard’s Regina team recently toured SaskPower’s newly renovated head office, getting a behind-the-scenes look at the property’s upgrades and innovative technologies.
The tour showcased SaskPower’s cutting-edge infrastructure and included an in-depth look at the building’s advanced mechanical systems, curtain walls, controls, lighting, and HVAC systems. The group also took in the building’s design and sustainability features, reflecting both teams’ interest in practical, energy-efficient solutions.
The visit also sparked valuable conversations about future opportunities, including SaskPower’s long-term vision and projects like the development of small nuclear reactors to support Saskatchewan’s energy needs and net-zero goals.
“Feedback from the tour was overwhelmingly positive,” said Tim Jennings, Director of Technical Services. “It was a massive success and provided an excellent opportunity for SaskPower to showcase their impressive new building, as well as their forward-thinking plans to net zero.”
The tour served as a reminder of the strong relationship between Harvard and SaskPower, with both teams working toward common goals here in Saskatchewan. Opportunities like this help build the partnership and spark new ideas for a more sustainable future.
